With the basic scan / crop service, we scan your photographs without Digital ICE scratch removal and save the images without doing any additional work on them other than rotating if necessary and cropping to remove any dark edges that result from the scanner covering beyond the picture area. You can then undertake any colour restoration and scratch / dust removal yourself. If your negatives or slides are badly scratched or marked you may find touching them up a long task.
